Agostino (Ago) Pennetta Originally from Avellino, Italy, he now makes his home in London. With a love for music at and early age, his passion was fuelled upon picking up his first guitar at seven. His inspiration came from Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac and Culture Club. His first band, BOW DROPS was formed in 1985, he was 12. They performed all original music; the local church was their stage where Ago also performed with the choir. He continued to play with other local bands in surrounding villages such as SPREAD and CAPANOES. At the age of 19 he became a member of CADRADERABICA, the band formerly know as BLUES STUFF who brought Ago on upon making the transition from Blues to Funk. It was while touring that the band continued to expand their horizons adding new member’s who eventually became well known in Italy enjoying television and radio exposure under the name of SETTIMA FERMATA. Upon winning the prestigious Dromedario Award they entered the studio to record their CD, "Imparare" In 2002 Ago moved to London where he formed the band ROUTE 159. Their first live performance took place at the Peckham Library at the Jungle Arts Festival. They became a regular house band at the well known Meridian Hotel in Piccadilly. It was in London where Ago made the acquaintance of fellow Italian, Kiara Bianco who till this very day has had the most profound impact on Ago and his music. The duo performed such venues as Bullet Bar, 12 Bar Club, The Embassy Bar, Beluchi’s and The Hard Rock Café. Kiara now makes her home between NYC and Italy they have remained close friends and keep in contact. Recently Ago met Collette McQueen and Leesa Desilva. So far the trio has played Number 5 of Covent Garden and The Troy Bar on Old Street. It is their desire to form a new band focusing on original music. In the interim, Ago is available for studio work or simply jamming out with other local musicians purely for the love of music.
