The Assent began November 21st, 2008 at the salt lake community college Battle of the bands. The name "the Assent" reflects the thought and talent that was crafted into the project.

Drummer, Wes Furgason, is the most experienced member of the band. He has played with several bands with several different styles of musicians. His technical drumming and attention to detail in the music he loves, is his trademark.

Bassist, Adam Taylor, has played for years with bands like "Smooth like James". His Indi-rock style of milking the bass line adds volumes of color to The Assent. He also owned the Drift Wood venue in Logan Utah, where he put-on hundreds of rock shows.

Front Man, Clint Stoker, has been writing songs for years. He released a single solo album called "Better Late Than Never". Song writing has always been his passion. He is known for crafting unique rhythms in his songs and melodies that stick with his fans, even as they sleep.

Together,The Assent is the perfect combination of artistry and technique. The band has big plans and a promising start to an assent in the music industry.
