born in canada, came of age in australia, and recently discovered roots in ireland. i'm a strong believer in the power of perspective. and i have a tendency to become restless staying in one place for too long.
there was walking, and talking, and then came music. first exposure was the recorder in year 5 music, then the trumpet in year 6 band class, then my dad's old yahama steel-string. then i started messing around on a little toy 2-octave kawai synthesizer, and making .mod music with playerpro on an old mac performa. picked up a harmonica somewhere in there, as well, but by year 9, i made the switch to percussion, and brought home a maxwin 5pc. about ten years of miserable neighbours followed. year 10, i wielded my first axe, a sunburst samick strat. music changed from notes, chords and melodies to riffs. that's where things got interesting.
so, over the years i've been involved in a few of what you might call garage bands: White Rhino, MadMonk, Lich... still working on the name for that one. but more often than not, i'm just sitting in my bedroom with a microphone and a mixing desk, doing my own thing. i do a lot of recording with an acoustic guitar, and tend to experiment with different musical stylings... and then there's that strong metal/punk/rock influence from the music that i've listened to the most over the past 15 years or so. anyway, give 'er a spin, and leave me a comment if you think what you're hearing is the shit, or just shit. it's all good, cabron.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I've actually got a more recent version with a violin part, which I'll upload when I get a chance.

Thanks, man - you're right, for sure, it would sound a lot more full with a proper walking bass line.

I used a PRS custom 24 straight into a Marshall JCM 2000 100watt head, close miked with an sm57 shure mic. Then, into a Behringer eurorack mixer for a little pre eq. , then into Cubase 4 essential. Drums are vintage Rogers 1975 or so. Bass guitar is my own creation, 35" scale, cocobola bass with Bartolini passive pickups. Thanks for lookin.
Hi Thelonius,
Thanks for signing up! Any friend of Emrah's is a friend of mine. Feel free to send me any suggestions for the site. It's just the beginning, and hopefully will grow into a thriving community and a way to expose your music to the world.
Love your music too, especially "Midnight in the garden of Eden".
